ADENOSINE AXIS – QUEMLICLUSTAT

CD73 is a major enzymatic producer of immunosuppressive adenosine in the tumor microenvironment.

Quemliclustat (quemli) is an investigational CD73 inhibitor that blocks the enzymatic conversion of AMP to adenosine. By blocking CD73 in all its forms, quemliclustat is designed to halt the last step in the production of extracellular adenosine. By removing adenosine’s immunosuppressive effects, quemliclustat may empower immune cells to trigger cancer cell death.
